First off, Happy Valentine's Day!!! xoxox Second, I thought a post about a girl's three favorite things would fit perfectly into the Valentine's spirit. Yes... Cupcakes, Champagne, and Some Retail Therapy! They blend beautifully if I say so myself. So after you read this blog head to the nearest cupcake patisserie and get that bottle of champagne and then get comfy with your computer at home.
Cupcakes and Champagne
I had the pleasure of working alongside a very special entrepreneur and fashion blogger, Franci Gire, during my time at the California Program of Entrepreneurship. We both were two busy ladies working on ventures from literally... the ground up. Her bakery offers high quality ingredients at an affordable price. She not only bakes cupcakes, she can whip up anything you can imagine. It was hard to capture these photos and not buy her entire assortment. Talk about major sugar cravings!
Retail Therapy (online shopping that is...)
The sugar cravings are even in found shopping online. While inhaling a "The Banana is Nutella" Cupcake I found this real chocolate scented palette from Too Faced. This palette is perfect for the frequent traveler. It is packaged in a sturdy tin and has an array of 16 matte and shimmer shadows. Formulated using real cocoa powder. The selection of perfect browns, neutrals, and little pops of color appeal to every candy lover.
Sip, Sip, of the bubbly and I surfed over to Top Shop and found this gorgeous kimono top. The longline and lightweight kimono in all-over cloudy floral print and a semi-sheer finish is perfect paired with a pair skinny pant and simple camisole.
Now on to spring dresses!! They are a great fit for the modern woman, these light weight frocks will be my go to for dinners, office, or weekend with the girls. I'm really into rompers, I feel the fit is great for many body types. They can also be dressed up or down.
I must point out those black pants. I love them because they are a jacquard legging, featuring subtle texture for serious added polish. Very comfortable and dressier than your average legging. The gladiator heels and flats are super cool, I totally need to get the brown Vince Camutos.
Ok, back to champagne and cupcakes! I had also bought two Red Velvet Oreo cupcakes, one for me and one for my friend. I am happy I bought two, because it was to die for. My favorite part was the bottom of the cupcake, where a cookie was baked into the bottom. WHAT!? yes no lie. But my ultimate favorite was Franci's "Smores" Cupcake. It has a toasted marshmallow top with chocolate (chips included of course) and graham cracker bottom. A sweet dream.
So nice to spend some online shopping and indulging with you! Also, visit my friend Franci Gire at her POP-UP location in San Jose, Ca. She will be there until March 31 (info below) and open Tuesday through Saturday (11-5). Tell her Nicole sent you and be sure to tell me what flavors you took home.
